The Demetrious Johnson Charitable Foundation holds first graduation for GED program. Johnson says staff and volunteers with the foundations worked with the students on their education, and problems with everyday life. Thanks to the foundation and months of hard work by some students with a second chance at education.

Does Black History Month hold any real significance for blacks — or is it merely an attempt to pacify and appease an outspoken, downtrodden, disenfranchised community?

We are honored and pleased to have this opportunity to offer Youth Night for 200 kids with the help of St. Louis University! The kids will tour the campus of St. Louis University beginning at 6:00p.m., then meet and talk with students on campus regarding the importance of a college education. Afterwards, they will attend the basketball game. Hot dogs, popcorn and soda will be provided.
